SJW Architects Ltd.
We are RIBA Chartered architects working across London, Sheffield and the Peak District, creating buildings shaped by place and crafted for the people who use them.
We believe good design emerges through conversation, research, drawing and careful detailing, and work on the principle that a building that enriches the lives of its occupants is more likely to stand the test of time.
Our projects range from small extensions in constrained urban plots to complete new-build homes, and the refurbishment of listed or heritage projects in sensitive locations.

Our approach.
Our work is grounded in a careful reading of place, brief and use. Through iterative design, collaboration and close attention to space, material and detail, we create architecture that is clear in intent, responsive to its context and shaped by the rhythms of daily use.

What we do.
We provide architectural services tailored to the needs of each project, from early feasibility and planning advice through to delivery on site. Our work includes full architectural services and interior design, developed either as an integrated part of the architecture or as a standalone commission.

Who we work with.
We work closely with private clients, developers and organisations who want to create spaces that have a positive impact - on people, place and the environment. Much of our work engages with existing buildings and shared or sensitive contexts, where architecture must respond carefully to context, fabric and use. We support projects from early ideas through to planning, delivery and completion.
